For candidates

For Nannies

Whether you wish to work as an au-pair or as a nanny, working and living in a totally new environment is always challenging and sometimes difficult. As a former au-pair, Carmen completely understands that and is ready to provide you with all the information you need to know and to support you throughout the contract period.

Candidates must be able to meet the following criteria in order to have an Au-Pair placement in the UK:

  • Aged between 17-27 years old.
  • You should not be married and have no dependants.
  • Have childcare experience (babysitting, or looking after younger brothers and/or sisters.
  • Provide the appropriate documents (please check Documents Required – Resources section).

As an Au Pair you will have the opportunity to study English at a school located near to the host family, who will help you in choosing the school.

Candidates willing to work as a Nanny in the UK:

  • You can be any age.
  • You must hold a childcare qualification and/or have childcare experience (at least 2 years).
  • You must provide checkable references.
  • Work permit (if applicable).
  • You must be available for an interview, either online or (preferably) face to face.

Candidates willing to work as a Mother's Help in the UK:

  • Aged between 18-30 years old.
  • You should not be married and have no dependants.
  • Provide the appropriate documents (please check Documents Required -  Resources section).
  • Have childcare experience (babysitting, former Au-Pair, or looking after younger brothers and/or sisters.
  • Possess a good basic knowledge of English.

Candidates willing to work as a Housekeeper in the UK:

  • You can be any age.
  • You must have a minimum of two years childcare and housework experience.
  • Provide checkable references.
  • Work permit (if applicable).
  • Possess a good basic knowledge of English.

All candidates must:

  • Have or be willing to have a police check and medical check.
  • Have successfully passed a detailed background investigation.
  • Pass a detailed screening process.

 

All the host families will be checked and vetted.

For Families

For Parents

We carefully select all candidates (au-pair, nanny, mother's help, housekeeper) to meet your specific requirements. Carmen is a former au-pair and teacher and has extensive knowledge of how to successfully match families to candidates, making sure the transition with having someone new in your home runs smoothly. This means that you can be assured of a happy, loving and stimulating family environment.

What makes us different:

  • We keep in contact with the family and candidate during the contract period and aim to provide you both with advice and support whenever needed.
  • We understand exactly what you need as Carmen has worked extensively in this field and gained significant experience.
  • We provide courses for the candidates and additional explanations about duties and responsabilities.
  • We are happy to organise home visits, which take place two weeks after the placement starts, and after that whenever requested by family or candidate.
  • We provide fully checked CRB, verbal and written references and thoroughly interview all candidates.
